Billy Mac Endowed Scholarship Fund

Patricia McCarthy and her family and friends established the Billy Mac Endowed Scholarship Fund in 2006 in memory of her son William McCarthy ‘07. Billy was an active member of the Regiment and studied Marine Transportation. His life was cut short while on Summer Sea Term. He loved being a member of the SUNY Maritime community and fully participated in the multitude of activities on campus.

Recipients of the Billy Mac Endowed Scholarship Fund must be U.S. citizens, in good academic and regimental standing with documented financial need. Preference will be given to students who are the son/daughter of a civil or public servant, and student who are active members of SUNY Maritime College’s extracurricular activities.
