Ruth Mulan Chu Chao and James Si-Cheng Chao Endowed Scholarship Fund

Dr. James S.C Chao, Honorary Chairman, Foremost Group, and Angela Chao, Chairman and CEO, Foremost Group, are establishing the “Ruth Mulan Chu Chao and James Si-Cheng Chao Endowed Scholarship Fund” by creating an endowed scholarship to benefit the students at SUNY Maritime College.
Students eligible to receive the scholarship must meet the following qualifications.:
1. Full time student enrolled in the undergraduate or graduate program, with a preference given to graduate students
2. Demonstrated knowledge of the Chinese culture and language
3. Hold a grade point average of 3.0 or greater
4. Demonstrated financial need as defined by the Office of Financial Aid

Scholarship may be forfeited if the student:
1, Is not enrolled full-time in the semester/academic year for which the scholarship is in effect
2. Fails to maintain a GPA of at least 3.0
3. Is found guilty of academic dishonesty, and/or violates the College’s Student Code of Conduct
