G&H Towing Company Endowed Scholarship

The establishment of the merit based, undergraduate scholarship will allow SUNY Maritime College to attract and benefit high achieving students who are interested in studying and are pursuing a USCG license to enter the field of Tugs and Towing. The selected student(s) will be known as the G&II Towing Scholar(s). Interest earned on this fund would help offset the expenses associated with the student’s undergraduate education. Students eligible to apply for and receive the scholarship must meet the following qualifications:
A. Student must be enrolled in our regiment program within the deck license option.
B. Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or greater.
C. An interest in working in the tugs and towing industry.
D. Preference will be given to a student willing to work in the Gulf of Mexico region upon graduation.
