The Captain Tim Murray ’02 Memorial Scholarship

The Captain Tim Murray ‘02 Memorial Scholarship has been established to honor the legacy of Timothy M. Murray, who tragically lost his life while serving as a Sandy Hook Pilot in 2020.
Students eligible to apply for and receive the scholarship must meet the following criteria:
1. A student at SUNY Maritime, with a minimum status of rising sophomore (i.e., having completed at least one year of study).
2. An active member of the men’s or women’s lacrosse team;
3. A U.S. citizen;
4. Studying to pursue an undergraduate degree program;
5. A member of the Regiment of Cadets and pursuing a U.S. Coast Guard License;
6. Must be in good academic standing;
7. Must demonstrate leadership abilities through involvement in their team, academic achievements, or community service.
